After about 125 years a storm blew through Dutchess county snapping a maple tree jn half. The scalling on this piece is cause by the stress fracturing of this chaotic event. The material was then weathered for two years to encourage spalt and silvering. Anchored by foraged steel from a Manhattan waterworks project.
