Burned using the Yakisugi technique, the cedar takes on a deep black surface that reveals the grain beneath its finish. Carefully placed openings allow flowers to emerge throughout the structure, turning the vessel into a living composition—the blooms becoming extensions of the branches themselves.
Grounded by a simple steel base, the piece balances organic irregularity with deliberate structure. It feels less like a traditional vase than a fragment of a tree reimagined as an object of design: raw, elegant, and quietly dramatic.
