Shaped from 100-year-old barn wood, this vessel carries the quiet weight of a previous life. Its circular form curves inward in a deep concave gesture, softened by time, weather, and use. One corner breaks away unexpectedly, creating a cavity from which a single flower emerges.
Burned to a rich matte black, the surface holds traces of the wood’s history beneath the char—grain, age, and wear suspended beneath shadow. The contrast between the fractured edge and the living stem gives the piece its tension: ruin and renewal held in the same form.
